THE NEXT SECOND

00:00

The second beyond.

A journey into breath, adaptation and human performance with Vitomir Maričić and Oxxyslab.

29:03.07 is Vitomir Maričić’s official Guinness World Records time, achieved in Opatija on 14 June 2025 following oxygen preparation. 29:04 is used here as a narrative symbol of the next unexplored second—not as a completed or announced record.

29:03.07

the record

A human limit, already written.

At the surface, everything looks silent.
But inside the body, nothing is still.

Oxygen moves. Blood redirects. Metabolism shifts. Control becomes instinct.

Vitomir Maričić’s 29:03.07 did more than set a record. It revealed a frontier: the invisible space where breath, biology and human will meet.

This is the starting point of a deeper question: what happens inside the body when oxygen becomes the most precious resource?

O₂

THE UNSEEN RESERVE

Not more oxygen. A different use of oxygen.

Oxxyslab was developed around an unconventional idea: sometimes the question is not how to add more oxygen, but how the body uses the oxygen already available.

Its gut-mediated oxygen-sparing mechanism is designed to act where oxygen demand is high and often overlooked: the intestinal mucosa.

For an athlete who lives at the edge of breath, this opens a new field of investigation — not a shortcut to performance, but a different way to look at adaptation.

29:04

the second beyond

The record ends. The investigation begins.

29:04 is not a claim. It is a symbol.

The second after the known number. The space beyond the record. The place where experience, science and human performance can meet without reducing an athlete’s achievement to a product effect.

This is the path Vitomir Maričić and Oxxyslab are opening together: from extreme breath-hold performance to a structured exploration of oxygen, adaptation and resilience.

THE PROJECT

The project is not the record.
The project is what the record reveals.

Oxxyslab enters the world of elite breath-hold performance with one purpose: to explore how the body adapts when oxygen becomes the limit.

The collaboration with Vitomir Maričić brings together field experience, athlete routine and a structured scientific investigation — with results communicated only when verified.

01

SPARE

A gut-mediated oxygen-sparing mechanism designed to reduce unnecessary oxygen demand where the body can afford to save it.

02

ADAPT

A scientific pathway focused on hypoxia, HIF-1α and the body’s natural response to low-oxygen stress.

03

RETURN

Because the measure of a limit is not only how far the athlete goes, but how the body comes back.

Sport. Athlete experience. Scientific investigation. Follow the project as it develops from competition environments to verified data.

Oxxyslab is not presented as the cause of an athletic result. It is part of a new investigation into oxygen use, adaptation and resilience in high-demand conditions — starting from one of the most extreme human-performance environments: breath-hold diving.

Athletic results shown on this page belong to the athlete and are not presented as effects of the product. Personal testimonials must be distinguished from objective performance claims. Scientific results will be disclosed only after verification and the required approvals.
