# Oxxyslab in the spotlight: a new clinical study published in Nutrients

The **SLAB51** formulation — marketed as Oxxyslab — was the subject of a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study conducted at Korea National Sport University in 36 elite athletes and published in the international scientific journal _Nutrients_ (2026, 18, 3299).

After one week of supplementation (a total dose of 1.6 × 1012 CFU per day, in an experimental setting), the researchers observed a significant difference in treadmill exercise duration compared with placebo, as well as changes in some markers of antioxidant activity (the enzyme SOD). No differences emerged, however, for maximal oxygen uptake (VO2max) or lactate removal.

As the authors themselves point out, these are preliminary findings, obtained in a small sample and in a controlled setting, that need to be confirmed by larger studies.

Study design: two groups received SLAB51 and placebo in alternating one-week periods, separated by a 14-day washout.
